Clean Core Thorium Energy (Clean Core) announced that the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station’s Nuclear Engineering and Science Center has successfully fabricated the first fuel pellets of Clean Core’s proprietary advanced nuclear fuel technology in partnership with the Idaho National Laboratory (INL).

In addition to focusing on new reactor designs to address a variety of issues like climate change, backing up renewables, and replacing fossil fuels with a reliable baseload alternative, the nuclear industry is moving forward quicker by using new types of advanced nuclear fuel.
